• Aluminum - -Aluminum attacks your central nervous system. Several studies have shown that toxic metals such as aluminum, contribute to neurological issues by producing oxidative stress. "The jury" is still out on how much aluminum is actually absorbed by the body from antiperspirants- but if it can be avoided, why not avoid it? Aluminum blocks your sweat glands. It doesn't balance your PH and take care of odor goblins. Pittie PoP- Doesn't Block. It balances.
• Baking Soda -Baking soda is extremely alkaline (a whopping 9 on the pH scale!). When you apply a deodorant with baking soda, it raises the pH of the skin. When your skin's pH rises above its normal levels, it can cause irritation such as dryness, redness, itching, and painful rashes. If you've had a reaction from natural deo before - it may have been the Baking Soda. 
• Phthalates- the compound added to many cosmetics and nutraceuticals that help the good smell stick to your skin. Research has shown phthalates can alter hormone production. I easily avoid Phthalates by using more expensive fragrances, natural fragrances and steam distilled essential oils. 
• Sulfates - Sulfates can strip away the skin's natural oils and therefore disrupt the moisture barrier causing dryness and irritation.
• Formaldehyde - (embalming fluid) Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen. Even low-level exposure can lead to adverse health effects. Formaldehyde is found in some beauty care (usually fragrance) to help preserve formulations. 
• Parabens -are used as a preservative in many deodorant products. Latest research suggests that even at low levels it may interfere with various hormones. Hormones act as chemical messengers in the body, regulating various processes such as growth, metabolism, mood, and reproductive functions. Balanced hormones are crucial for maintaining homeostasis and overall health.
• Talc -Talc is mined from the Earth and some talc contains asbestos, a substance known to cause cancers in and around the lungs when inhaled. 

I formulated Pittie PoPs to be high in Magnesium & Zinc. Magnesium Hydroxide helps to absorb sweat & kill bacteria, while Zinc oxide helps neutralize short chain fatty acids in sweat, which can help to remove body odor.
